At the very back of the park, you’ll find hidden walking/mountain biking trails to explore.

Catching the sea breezes, this 29-acre community park is a hub for athletics. Visitors can enjoy baseball, softball, soccer, pickleball, and tennis. The park also features a playground, a medium pavilion, benches, and a restroom/concession building, making it a great spot for both sports and relaxation.

Orlando Park

Over in the town of Indialantic, Orlando Park is a local favorite, featuring playground equipment, basketball courts, picnic areas, and plenty of space to run around. It’s a great neighborhood spot for a relaxing afternoon with the kids.

Ryckman Park

This park sits on the riverside of the island, home to the Melbourne Beach Pier—a great spot for walking and fishing along the Indian River. It's common to spot manatees, stingrays, and dolphins swimming nearby. The park features a playground for all ages, a splash pad for kids, pickleball and tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic tables, and gazebos perfect for gatherings or relaxed outdoor meals.

The Mikey Goodwin Playground

In Indialantic, The Mikey Goodwin Playground is an inclusive space designed for children of all abilities. Stroll along the scenic boardwalk at Nance Park, where the sound of crashing waves and salty breeze create the perfect seaside escape. At the north end, you'll find a vibrant and inclusive playground designed for children of all ages, including toddlers and those with special needs. This special space was created in honor of Mikey Goodwin, a beloved local child whose memory continues to bring joy to the community.

After some fun at the park, stop by Surfinista Café nearby to enjoy a refreshing smoothie or coffee in its laid-back, surf-inspired atmosphere.

Pro Tip: Paid parking is required in this area, but annual parking permits may be purchased at Indialantic Town Hall for $50 per calendar year

Gleason Park

Gleason Park, a 27-acre gem in Indian Harbour Beach, is another fantastic option, complete with two playgrounds, walking paths including just under a 1-mile loop around a scenic lake. The park is dog-friendly and a perfect place to walk your dog. Also located in the park is the City's heated competition-size swimming pool - open seven days a week year-round, with shuffleboard courts and picnic facilities.

Oars & Paddles Park

Oars & Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach is a 4.7-acre waterfront park perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and rowing, with access to the Banana River via the Whiting Waterway (no rentals available). Home to Space Coast Crew, it features a boat house, floating launch dock, playground, picnic pavilion, restrooms, and parking. While motorized boats are allowed in the canal, docking at the park is prohibited.

It’s also a great spot to start a scenic workout. Walk across Mathers Bridge or take a 10-mile round-trip run or bike ride along the Indian River to the Pineda Causeway and back.

Space Coast Field of Dreams

And don’t forget the Space Coast Field of Dreams in West Melbourne, a five-acre, all-access, mulit-sport park and playground. This all-inclusive play space features existing attractions, including ziplines, ensuring every child can join in the fun. The park also offers soccer fields and basketball courts, making it a great spot for all kinds of active play.

Grant-Valkaria Community Park

Grant-Valkaria Community Park features Payton’s Playspace, a newly renovated, nature-inspired playground built in memory of Payton Watson. Designed with community support, it includes fairy playhouses, musical flowers, and accessible play areas for all children. The park also offers a scenic hiking trail, providing families a great way to explore the outdoors.

The park is well-equipped with amenities, including a playground, restrooms, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and multiple pavilions for gatherings. With options ranging from rustic campsites to full hookup sites, it’s a great spot for campers of all levels. Fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the 100-foot fishing bridge and shoreline access. Reserve your campground early, because they book up sometimes a year in advance.

Manatee Hammock Park

If you’re willing to venture a bit further, Manatee Hammock Park in Titusville offers spacious campsites and easy access to nearby attractions like the Kennedy Space Center. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the northern part of the Space Coast.
